Relaunch of one of Edmonton's Oldest and Most Loved Events
If it seems to Edmontonians that K-Days has been around forever, it's because it's true! The event is one of the oldest in Edmonton and—although it's been through a number of name changes and iterations—it remains a much-loved favourite and an essential part of the festival city's summer schedule.
According to Explore Edmonton, "K-Days began over 130 years ago as the Edmonton Exhibition. Originally held by the Edmonton Agricultural Society at the original Fort Edmonton site, the exhibition was a celebration of technology and innovation in the late 1800s. People travelled from all over to experience the exhibition and see the latest advances in agriculture, industry and science." This year, the event relaunched after two years of pandemic and since Explore Edmonton adopted 10 day extravaganza.

To drive traffic to the website and ticket sales, Lift partnered with the Explore Edmonton to develop a comprehensive digital marketing and traditional advertising plan. Our teams worked together to devise creative ads centred around nostalgic midway experiences and special exhibitions. A bright, cheerful, and consistent thread made it's way through digital ads, out-of-home advertisements, and radio spots.
K-days launched again on July 22 to crowds of happy Edmontonians. We've loved seeing all of the activity on social media of people smiling as they return to the midway. Our team has been thrilled to be a part of the return of this beloved event.
